2021 November 15 Geography

The world is a really big place. I’ve traveled to Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas and learned some really cool things throughout my journeys. What I have learned most recently may surprise you as Michigan has many one of a kind things.

Many people I meet ask me what my favorite part about Michigan is and every time I tell them it’s the kindness and hospitality of everyone. My second most favorite thing, though, are the sights.

For example, did you know Michigan has more than 3,000 miles of freshwater shoreline? That’s more than any other state in the nation! That’s a lot of freshwater and I want to visit it all. Last year, I traveled to several of the Great Lakes but I still haven’t made it to the upper peninsula. If you have been there, where should I go first?

Another cool thing about Michigan is that it has the only authentic Dutch windmill operating in the United States. Have you seen it?

Michigan is also the second-most agriculturally diverse state in the nation. From the farms, to the Great Lakes to the fabulous cities, you can see a lot and do a lot in this state.

It’s so special to be here with you every year and we can’t wait for you to see what we have in store for you for Holiday Extravaganza year 40.

See you out there. Love, BinG
