I have a secret.
Michigan has it’s very own North Pole – and it’s called Rooftop Landing Reindeer Farm.
This family owned and operated business is the perfect place to go when you want to pretend it’s below freezing and snowing while surrounded by Santa’s most faithful companions.
Friends, living so far away from home is so hard. It is rewarding to help plan the holiday event of the season, but not seeing my reindeer or elf friends for 5 months makes me very sad.
When Santa told me about Rooftop Reindeer, the training program he helped develop for future sleigh drivers almost 30 years ago, I got very excited.
Not only are the reindeer at this farm top notch representatives of Santa’s crew, but other elves also live here. It gives me the chance to socialize with other people who miss home.
Our mission at Holiday Extravaganza is to keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible this year, which means we are taking precautions beyond normal. This means that while LuLu and I were allowed to leave the North Pole to help plan this event, the only other person allowed out is Santa.
The reindeer from Rooftop Reindeer will be going to the North Pole to collect Santa and bring him right back here. When you come to Holiday Extravaganza this year you will have the unique opportunity to meet with Santa and his reindeer sleigh drivers in-training in social distancing fashion.
You can also visit with the reindeer at Rooftop Landing Reindeer Farm in Clare, Michigan any time during the year. I’ve actually been using my spare time to work here and help with the reindeer training.
Maybe I’ll see you!
