2019 October 04 Scholarship Alert :)

Scholarship Alert :)

Hello friends ~

I have exciting news to share today!!

In honor of a wonderful lady named Fran Anderson, the people of Holiday Extravaganza have organized a scholarship for the children of Auburn Hills, Pontiac, Waterford, and White Lake.

You read that right!

An entire scholarship for 4 very deserving students.

It will be $1,000 to the higher education institution of the winners choosing.

So while $1,000 is pretty cool, the coolest part is that each winner gets to be a junior grand marshal in the parade!!

You have the opportunity to wave to the crowds and pass out SUGARY treats. Plus I’m sure you could keep some of the sugary treats for yourself too.

You didn’t hear it from me, but candy canes are the most popular confection provided at the Holiday Extravaganza. There are reasons I would know this 😉

Candy canes were first invented in 1670 at the Cologne Cathedral in Germany. The choirmaster would give the young singers these sugary sticks to ensure they stayed quiet during the ceremonies.

The reason candy canes are their specific shape? The choirmaster bent them into the shape of a shepherd crook!!

Pretty neat origin story, huh?

I’m just an elf, so I don’t understand all the fine print associated with applying for a scholarship. Right HERE is a link to the entire rules and regulations for applying.

All I have to say is make sure you have been making a big difference in your local community. This is so important as just a person (Santa checks on these things), but also vital in application for this scholarship.

Apply by October 14 at 5 p.m. to secure your opportunity to win!

Have a great week

My name is BinG and I am the elf in charge over at the Holiday Extravaganza. If there are two things I like it’s sugar and anything with extravaganza in the name. And guess what, with me in charge there will be plenty of sugar AT the extravaganza :O It’s like a holiday wish come true.
